OVS - Whatever happened to October?
Hey there, can it really be a month since my last post, how in the ninth circle of hell did that happen!? Anyway, as Blogging has been declared dead, I shall rise from my crypt with a goofy smile, the lust for blood and a dodgy accent to tell you what's been happening in this month and coming up in the next few.
Almost all the scripts for OVS5 are now done and with artists. I am working on the odd piece in case I get the chance to get some more. So far each issue has been bigger than the last, and while I can't promise that for issue 5, I'm going to try! If I'd managed to double it in size each time then there would be no room left for other comics by the time I'd died.
I am working with Mr Gareth Whitty (co-creator of Solar Wind) to try and nail a short strip we first failed to write about 8 years ago, and have been failing ever since. Shall we succeed this time? If not, it'll be entirely my fault, again.
Also lined up are articles by both Mr Berridge and Mr Briggs who are working on some pieces for the next issue. An article of mine which didn't make it into Issue 4 will probably make an appearance as well, just to make them look good.
The comic fairs I'll be attending in the near future looks like Leeds in November and Inverness in February so far.
As for the novel I threatened ages ago, I'm going to try and write it as part of National Novel Writing Month, which be November. It is good timing as I usually try and get OVS written by October at the latest. I shall then be relatively free to focus on writing the book. According to the site you write it in November, concentrating on volume and getting it finished then do your editing in December. It sounds like a plan!
