OVS - National Write a Novel Month
Day 5 and I should have 7,500 words. I have barely at 1200 (600 for Saturday, and 600 for today). I'm tapping the keyboard with less enthusiasm than Douglas Adams trying to write the sixth hitch-hikers novel in the vain hope of trying to beat Eoin Colfer to it as he slowly rotates in his grave. Yet I have managed to post gibberish in a variety of topics on message boards which would certainly pass what I'd needed to catch up.*
God**, why have you cursed me with this apathy!
Oh I'm a lazy good for nothing so and so. Still, this is the first genuine day off I've had for two weeks, and felt I need to do a certain amount of nothing, everything in moderation though. I also did one sensible chore and watched a bit of Merlin.
Finished Jonathon Ross' book, which is very entertaining, even for someone as easily distracted as me. If you like his radio waffle, this is a must read. Especially as he's off air for three months.
* Gah, done it again!
**Can't blame God, really. Almost unrelated, I saw on a news website, that some kid is being buried in a coffin painted up as the Tardis.
