OVS - Novel Update

Well, that sound (a sort of feeble whine like an asthmatic mosquito) was the sound of me breaking the 30,000 word barrier of my novel.

I've also reduced my lag back to 3,000 words, but then I've been here before. If only I can claw ahead this weekend, then perhaps I have a real chance of getting this thing to 50K by the deadline.

The story has come to a rather nice resting point at 30K, with lots of threads tied up and is now heading into the second half where bigger things threaten to explode.
