OVS - Novel Update

Well, it was close there, but I have managed to complete 50,000 words for Nanowrimo (national novel writing month) during November. This has been something of a major feat for me, and it has proved to myself that I can do it, if I have to.
The novel isn't finished, but I have reached the nanowrimo winner's target, and expect the book to be 80-100,000 words in total. I suspect it would be quite easy to go on for a lot longer, but I always used to to enjoy those books that were barely thicker than your finger and yet still managed to contain inventiveness, originality, good characters and a gripping story. So what I don't want to do is go on for 500 pages. Or write a 12 book epic.
I now intend to carry on, I suspect at a slightly slower pace, but I shall have to try and come up with some routine to help me have it mostly done by the end of the year, with the remaining dark months spent editing and revising.
What it does mean, is that I can carry on doing my stories in Omnivistascope comic, and then try and put out a novel a year as well. It seems like a good way to pick up those stories that for one reason or other have never been completed.
I'll try and keep the novel blogging to a minimum, but I'll try and tag some idea of how things are coming along on other posts.
