OVS - Thought Bubble Leeds 08
No pictures, as I forgot to take my camera! But trust me, I was there, honest.
It was hard getting up so early on a Saturday morning in November, but I begrudgingly managed it, and made the drive down to Leeds (just getting lost a bit). Finally found the venue, set up, festival opened...
And then the time just flew by. I had a great time, sold a good few copies of OVS and the last of my Bumper Books of Solar Wind. Chatted to some old friends and lots of nice people who came by the stall. I finally got the Black Dossier. I bought Al Ewing's I, Zombie book and got it signed by the man-thing himself and Raise the Dead by those half-dead fiends Moore and Reppion. On the plus side I got the book signed, on the bad side, one of them bit me and the TCP isn't clearing it up.
It was a rare comic event that wasn't sweltering and full of sweaty people, in fact it was a bit nippy at times! Couldn't fault the organisation though, and the nearby car park and helpful staff. The evening event was a really nice touch, but I was shattered by then, and was grateful just to nod as people talked to me. But I'd definitely go again and recommend you do too!
Finally headed off, and got a little lost before getting home late and tired.
:)
Missed a little novel work due to Saturday, but I'm not far behind I keep telling myself. Not too far...
Completed: 23,007 Target: 26,672 of 50,000
