Since the publication of the first issue of the National Comic Award winning Solar Wind in 2003, I have been releasing new comics every year, with the critically acclaimed annual Omnivistascope science fiction comic being joined by one-shot books such as The Casebook of Warlock Holmes, with more to follow.
The comic strips I write are overwhelmingly science fiction or humour, and sometimes both. The main influences are cult british sci-fi television, the classic sci-fi movies of the 1970's, literary greats such as John Wyndham and Stanislav Lem and british science fiction comics such as Jeff Hawke and 2000AD(especially 1977-87).
Solar Wind (and companion comics Big War and Sunny for Girls) have been compiled into two impressive volumes, featuring a host of talented artists and writers. While there are so far six issues of the perfect bound, and perfectly lovely, Omnivistascope. This is largely written by myself, and drawn by some of the most talented artists working in British comics.
Take this opprtunity to take a closer look at the comics and visit worlds you never dared imagine.
